What secures a room
A reservation is confirmed once payment has reached us in full. Until then the booking exists and we can see it, but the room is not guaranteed — if someone else pays for the same room first, they get it. This is the one rule worth knowing above all the others.
Prices are shown per night and already include VAT. The total you see at checkout is the total you pay; VAT is not added again, and there is no separate service charge or booking fee.
Paying
Reservations made on this website are paid by bank transfer. The account details are shown once your booking exists, and your booking reference must be used as the transfer narration — that reference is how we match your money to your room.
A transfer is not instant. We confirm it by hand once it lands, usually the same day, and you will receive a confirmation when we have. If you have transferred and not heard from us within a working day, call +234 906 155 5082 with your reference rather than transferring again.
Cash and card machine payments are taken at the hotel itself for walk-ins and for anything added during your stay. They are not available for reservations made online.
Holding a room while you book
When you begin checkout the room is held for 15 minutes so nobody can take it while you are entering your details. If you do not finish in that time the hold lapses and the room returns to sale. Nothing is charged for a hold, and starting again is fine.
Arriving and leaving
- Check-in from 6:00 am. Unusually early for a hotel, and deliberate — if you are arriving on a night bus or an early flight, you are not waiting in the lobby until the afternoon.
- Check-out by 12:00 pm. Late check-out is subject to availability. Departure after 12:00 noon is charged at 50% of the room rate.
Tell us your arrival time when you book and we will have the room ready for it. Arriving earlier than you told us is usually fine when the room is free; we simply cannot promise it.
Identification
A valid government-issued means of identification is required at check-in for the person the booking is in the name of. This is standard for hotels in Nigeria and we cannot check anyone in without it.
Booking for someone else
You may book on behalf of another guest — put their name on the reservation, not yours, so the name matches the identification presented at the desk. Use your own contact details if you want the confirmation and any updates to come to you.
How many people, and how far ahead
- Up to 4 adults and 3 children can be booked into one room online. Larger parties are welcome — book more than one room, or call us and we will arrange it.
- Stays of 1 to 30 nights can be booked on the website, up to 365 days ahead. For anything longer or further out, call us.
Pets
We do not accept pets. Guests share the lift, the corridors and the restaurant with each other, and not everybody is comfortable around animals — some are allergic to them. If you rely on an assistance animal, call us before you book and we will find a way that works.
Smoking
All rooms are non-smoking. Smoking in a room means the room is out of use while it is cleaned, and the cost of that cleaning is charged to the booking.
Damage and behaviour
You are responsible for the room and for anyone you bring into it. Damage beyond ordinary wear is charged at what it costs us to put right, and we will show you what that is rather than quoting a figure at you. We may end a stay without refund where a guest puts staff or other guests at risk.
Changing or cancelling
Cancellation terms and refunds are set out on the cancellation policy page. If your dates have moved rather than fallen through, ask about changing them before cancelling — it is usually simpler.
If something is wrong
Tell us while you are still here. Almost anything — a room that is too warm, a noisy neighbour, a shower that will not behave — we can fix on the spot, and we would far rather do that than read about it after you have gone. Call the desk, or find us at reception.
